Programming with Vue: Building Responsive, Lightweight Frontends

🗓 August 03, 2020
17:00—21:00 UTC
2020-08-03T17:00:00Z

Abstract
Programming the frontend has two parts, getting data from the backend using Ajax and manipulating the DOM in the frontend. Doing that by hand may potentially give good performance, but that comes with a lot of perils—hard to maintain, error-prone code. Vue being a lightweight library can alleviate the pain without compromising on the performance. In this class learn to create frontend application with Vue. This class assumes you have an understanding of JavaScript and HTML and are interested in learning to create frontend application using Vue. We will take a test driven approach to learning to program with Vue. Come prepared to write some code and make tests pass.
